Based on the Academy Award-winning movie, this enchanting, hilarious, romantic stage play reimagines William Shakespeare’s creative process – and explores his inspiration – as he writes Romeo and Juliet.

The Midnite Youth Theatre Company presents this boisterous romantic comedy for the whole family, set in the world of the theatre. Young Will has a bad case of writer’s block. The deadline for his new play is fast approaching and he’s in desperate need of inspiration. He finds it in Viola, whose fiery passion for poetry and drama leaves her secretly longing to be an actor. Against a bustling background of mistaken identity, ruthless scheming and backstage theatrics, Will’s love for Viola quickly blossoms, inspiring him to write his greatest romantic masterpiece.
